Paul Gauguin Cruises Community Giving 2015

December 18, 2015

Each year, staff from the Bellevue office of Paul Gauguin Cruises volunteer and donate to charities and support organizations. We hope to make a difference in our community by giving back.

For the fourth consecutive year, Paul Gauguin Cruises’ staff volunteered at Northwest Harvest—Washington’s statewide hunger relief agency. Led by our President Diane Moore, we packaged 1,100 pounds of pasta, equaling 846 meals, and 600 bags of food, representing 1,800 meals, for needy families. We also held our annual food drive, collecting boxes of non-perishable foods for Northwest Harvest, which distributes the food to area food banks, shelters, and meal programs.

Our staff also participated for the fifth consecutive year in the Children’s Home Society of Washington’s Holiday Helper program, located at the North Seattle Family Resource Center (NFSC), which assists families in need. The Paul Gauguin Cruises team purchased and donated 30 articles of clothing and 12 games and toys, and also provided $180 in gift cards for holiday meals to NFSC for families in need.

In September, Paul Gauguin Cruises sponsored the Sip for the Sea benefit, hosted by the Wildlife Conservation Society, which celebrates the wonders of the ocean and supports the New York Aquarium in Brooklyn.

Paul Gauguin Cruises also proudly supports Tourism Cares, the charitable arm of the travel and tourism industry. Tourism Cares is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that preserves and enriches the travel experience for future generations. The organization channels the philanthropic passion and commitment of the travel industry to protect and restore valuable destinations we all care about—and support those destinations as engines for prosperity and pride in their communities. We look forward to helping with initiatives to preserve and enrich travel experiences around the world again in 2016.

We thank our employees who have volunteered and generously donated this year and also our travel partners who help those in need in our community.
