Congratulations to Clara Landrito, who is a Housekeeper aboard the m/s Paul Gauguin. She was recognized as Paul Gauguin Cruises’ Employee of the Month for January 2017. Here is a little more about Clara.

Q: How long have you been with the m/s Paul Gauguin? 

A: This is my third year aboard the m/s Paul Gauguin.

Q: How long have you worked in the cruise line industry? Any other ships?

A: I have worked in the cruise industry for 13 years. Before Paul Gauguin Cruises, I worked at Costa Cruises for 10 years.

Q: Why did you decide to apply to work on the m/s Paul Gauguin?

A: I decided to apply at Paul Gauguin Cruises because of my husband. We wanted to work together, and that’s why I am thankful to the company, and to Hotel Director Jacques Le Tallec and Hotel Director Jean Paul Grepon, for giving me a chance to be part of Paul Gauguin Cruises family.

Q: What is your background?

A: I was an undergraduate teacher. I was a self-supporting student until I decided to stop because it was conflicting with my work schedule.

Q: Which island is your favorite and why?

A: Bora Bora since it is a beautiful and relaxing place.

Q: What is an item you never travel without?

A: The main things that I have while I’m traveling are my passport, money, and a gadget to easily connect with my love ones.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not working on board?  

A: Being a full-time mother to my son.
