Paul Gauguin Cruises proudly presents its 2019 line-up of special guests who are experts in the wine, photography, fine art, music, and the wonders of the deep.

Douglas Peebles has been photographing the South Pacific and Hawaii for about 40 years, and his work has been published in nearly 70 books and several other publications, including National Geographic Traveler, Islands, Travel Holiday, GEO, Hawaii, and the UK’s Traveller magazine.  He will offer photography presentations during the January 26, 2019, Marquesas, Tuamotus & Society Islands voyage.

One of the UK’s most in-demand singers, Jonny Ross performs a varied repertoire designed to delight audiences of all ages. Jody Bogle with Bogle Winery

Jody Bogle is a third-generation winegrower who, along with her brothers, currently manages the day-to-day operations of Bogle Vineyards & Winery in California. Born and raised on the family farm in Clarksburg, Jody spent many a summer in her youth tying, weeding, and pruning vines on the 1,500 acres her family farms in the Sacramento River Delta. Jody offers a lecture and a tasting of Bogle wines on The Gauguin during the February 23, 2019, Tahiti & the Society Islands voyage.

Dr. Mary Hagedorn has worked in aquatic ecosystems around the world from the Amazon to Africa, has taught many university-level classes, lectures frequently to lay audiences, maintains an active laboratory, and is a successful researcher. Mary presents lectures focusing on coral reef challenges, conservation, and restoration during the March 9, 2019, Cook Islands & Society Islands voyage.

The Rolling Keys Duo (Sarah Watson and Will Stead) are two session musicians who have crafted a sound that has proven successful all over the world. They offer a toe-tapping performance of popular classics from the Fifties to current chart hits on the March 9, 2019, Cook Islands & Society Islands voyage.

During a 30-year naval career, Dr. Denny Whitford learned how to drive large ships, flew jet aircraft aboard aircraft carriers, forecast weather and ocean conditions around the world, held multiple commands, and directed several scientific organizations. Robert Carpenter has been conducting research on coral reefs for the past 30 years in locations throughout the world, including the Caribbean, Hawaii, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, Guam, Palau, and French Polynesia. Founder of the independent record label TeaPot Records, singer/songwriter Hannah Trigwell has garnered more than 100 million views on YouTube, achieved numerous worldwide Top Ten hit singles, and has released her debut album. Steve Kent

As the sixth generation of “America’s oldest winemaking family,” Steven Kent Mirassou began his wine career at age 13 on the bottling lines, forklifts, and warehouses of the family’s historic winery. At the ripe age of 32, he opened the Steven Kent Winery with one mission in mind: to make Cabernet in the Livermore Valley that rivals in quality the greatest red wines around the world. Salvestrin Winery
