Please note:  PGC reserves the right to cancel excursions based on booking date should the excursion capacity be lowered by local authorities due to Covid outbreaks.

Shore Excursion Terms & Conditions

Please note that not all shore excursions are available on all sailings. Descriptions and pricing may vary.  Shore excursions will not be available for pre-booking until approximately 30 days prior to sailing (with the exception of the Romantic Escapades excursions) and can be added to your booking via the "Manage your trip" online tool. ATV Tour of Huahine Nui

Transfer from the pier to Fare Maeva for an easy test drive on the ATV quads. Then start the exciting island exploration by discovering the coast of the Motu Maeva with its white sandy beaches, Marae Manunue (an ancient Polynesian temple). Stop for a refreshing coconut drink at chez 'Nini' before continuing for some snorkeling at the Sofitel Heiva's beach.

Afterwards the tour will take you past Fare Potee and Marae Rauhuru and the ancient Fish Traps in Lake Fauna Nui, and then onto the Sacred Eels at Faie before stopping at Belvedere for a photo opportunity of the Maroe Bay and the ship. The tour ends at Maroe Pier.

Please note: The tour is easy to moderate and the drive is partially off road driving and partially on paved roads. Not recommended for pregnant women, guests suffering from back & neck problems and children under 5 years old. Driving licence is mandatory and drivers must be a minimum of 18 years old. Please bring snorkel gear, beach towel, bottled water, sunglasses from the ship. Please wear your swim wear under clothing. The cost of this tour is per ATV, which can accommodate two average-sized adults.

BBQ on Motu & Snorkeling

Your boat will take you through the beautiful waters of Cook's and Opunohu Bays whilst enjoying the scenery of the north coast of Moorea. Arrive at the Stingray spot for a moment to swim with these graceful and elegant creatures. From here you will continue to the private motu where a BBQ lunch awaits you. Water, beer, sodas and soft drinks available with lunch. You will also see the preparation of Poisson Cru with Coconut Milk as well as demonstrations of Coconuts and Pareo tying. There will be time to swim, snorkel and enjoy the island.

Please note: Please bring your snorkel equipment, beach towel, sunscreen and sunglasses from the ship. Sunchairs are available on the motu and plenty of shade is provided by the trees. Restroom facilities on the motu.

Beach Combing & Snorkeling

From Halaevalu Wharf, you will be travelling in non-air-conditioned 'island style' minivans to the beautiful Tongan Beach Resort, via the township of Neiafu, through picturesque little villages, and past a vanilla plantation, an important source of income for the island. You will have approximately two hours of free time to relax in the sun, swim and snorkel. There are a limited number of sun chairs and umbrellas available on the beach. The beach is part sand and part rocks. Resort services and activities are available at an additional cost.

Please note: Bring your snorkeling equipment from the ship, swimsuit, towel and reef/water shoes to wear while swimming as there's coral underfoot. Insect repellent is also recommended.

Black Pearl Farm

Explore Rangiroa's black pearl industry and learn about pearl cultivation during this memorable visit to the Black Pearl Farm.

Depart the pier for a ride along Rangiroa's main road, past the airport and on to the Black Pearl Farm. Most pearl farms are small-sized, and the number of workers at this farm is quite representative of the farms in this region.

Upon arrival at the farm, the staff will give you a brief lecture about the farming and production of black pearls. You will learn about the chronology and evolution of the industry, and how oysters are selected, grown, and then grafted for production. Following the lecture, you will proceed to the work sheds where oysters are sorted and cleaned, and watch a grafter at work as he skillfully plies his trade.

Following your visit, you will reboard your minivan for the return ride to the pier.

Please note: This tour is for guests who are interested in learning about pearl cultivation. The Tuamotus are very remote islands. Although the guides used are the best available, they are not certified, and their command of English may be very poor. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Blue Lagoon Escapade

Depart the pier on board the sporty 23-foot Jeanneu, Cap Camarat 715WA motorized boat. Ride around the island and stop to observe a stingray ballet. Snorkel in the majestic coral gardens. Visit the reef sharks, manta rays and much more. At the conclusion of your cruise, you will be transferred back to the pier.

Please note: The tour cost is per-boat, which can accommodate up to four guests. Select only one ticket. Wear your swimsuit under a cover up with aqua socks or similar, and bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a towel plus your snorkel gear from the ship. The boat has a sun top. This tour is recommended for guests in good physical condition. Alcoholic beverages will be served only after water activities are completed. This is not a Catamaran Sail.

Bora Bora - A Day at the Beach

An eco-friendly jewel in the South Pacific, the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa is located between the “two hearts” of Motu Pita Aau, a coral island on the barrier reef. Enjoy a day poolside or at the beach, swimming in the pristine azure lagoons. Complimentary use of paddle board, windsurf, kayak, snorkeling equipment, and outrigger is included.

Guests will transfer via taxi from Vaitape to the InterContinental Le Moana and shuttle transfer to the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa. Your excursion also includes a two-course lunch (a main course plus either appetizer or dessert), served at the poolside restaurant. Beverages, spa treatments, and certain activities can be purchased at the resort at an additional cost.

Bora Bora Island Tour by "Le Truck"

Explore the island paradise of Bora Bora during this scenic orientation tour via Le Truck. Depart the pier aboard a Le Truck. First, you will drive through the district of Fa'anui. Along the way, you will pass by small villages and fields that offer a glimpse into the everyday life of the people of Bora Bora. A brief stop will be made at Fa'anui Bay for photographs of Mounts Otemanu and Pahia. Your drive will continue on to the ancient ceremonial site of Fa'anui Marae, followed by a look at the bunkers constructed by American GIs during WWII. Next, a stop will be made at Mama Edna's to sample such local delicacies as breadfruit, poe mixed with coconut milk (not marinated), taro and tropical fruit. You will also have an opportunity to buy some local, hand-painted pareus. From a lookout point, you will see Mount Otemanu, Bora Bora's highest peak, which stands as a silent sentinel over the Pearl of the Pacific. You will then pass by Bora Bora's Club Med Village before reaching sandy Matira Beach. A stop will be made here to take in splendid vistas and photo opportunities before driving back to Vaitape. On occasion, an air-conditioned bus may replace Le Truck.

Please note: Le Truck is an open-air vehicle resembling a windowless bus. Be prepared for a bumpy ride during part of this island tour.

Bora Bora Off-Road Adventure

Embrace Bora Bora’s pristine natural beauty in an exhilarating new way during this exciting off-road adventure along the road less traveled.

Depart the pier with your driver for an off-road excursion to places only accessible via Land Rover. Your driver will navigate the steep terrain and introduce you to the plants, trees, and lifestyles of Bora Bora.

You will drive through the small town of Vaitape on the shore of Pofai Bay, then ascend Pahonu Hill. Here, you will find expansive views of Bora Bora’s natural harbor and Matira Beach. You will then continue on for a second ascent, more off-road adventure, and a visit to the cannons still standing in their original World War II locations. Next, you will travel along Bora Bora’s north shore for a visit to the lush valley of Fa’anui.

Your journey will conclude with spectacular views and photo opportunities of Fa’anui Bay from a traditional plantation high up in the mountains. Afterward, you will be returned to the pier.

Please note: As this tour involves rough off-road driving and steep ascents and descents, guests with back and/or neck problems and guests with limited mobility are discouraged from participating. The order of stops may vary. Price is per person.

Botanical & Agricultural Walk

Experience Moorea's botanical and agricultural beauty up close during this scenic and informative walking tour.

Depart the pier for a brief transfer via minivan to the Moorea Agricultural Domain. Upon arrival, you will spend the next 2 hours on a guided walk covering approximately 1.25 miles. Your pleasant downhill stroll will include frequent stops to explore the local flora and take in wonderful views and photo opportunities.

Moorea is one of the world's most beautiful islands and is renowned for its exotic plants, trees, fruits, and flowers, along with their flavors and fragrances. During this intimate tour, your guide will show you many plants of interest and inform you about their origins and uses. You will also learn about the island's natural formation and its human colonization. Along the way, hear tales of ancestors, discoverers, missionaries, and colonists, and learn about Polynesia's past and present way of life.

Following your tour, you will be transferred back to the pier.

Please note: As this hiking tour involves walking on dirt paths, guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes that may become dirty/muddy. Guests are also encouraged to use insect repellent. This tour is limited to a maximum of seven guests.

By Aquaplane: Bora Bora and Tupai Flightseeing (30 minutes flight)

Start your adventure by reachng the Cessna 208 Caravan amphibian by boat transfer from Vaitape. Right after a safety briefing, it will be time to discover the breathtaking and unforgettable sights our islands have to offer. Bora Bora, the "Pearl of the Pacific," will unveil the shades of its turquoise lagoon considered as one of the most stunning in the world, but also the beauty of the majestic Mt. Otemanu. During your tour, you will have the chance to fly over a mosaic made of splendid overwater bungalows, Matira point, remains from the World War II, or the motu Tapu, among so many others. After a few minutes flying over the ocean, you will be able to encounter a wonder of nature: Tupai, the heart-shaped atoll. But as all good things come to an end, it will be time for you to go back to the Bora Bora airport where a boat will take you back to Vaitape.

Please note: Depending on the weather conditions the boat ride to and from Vaitape pier may be bumpy. Not recommended for guests with limited mobility, pregnant women or guests with back or neck problems.
