Please note that not all shore excursions are available on all sailings. Descriptions and pricing may vary.  Shore excursions will not be available for pre-booking until approximately 30 days prior to sailing (with the exception of the Romantic Escapades excursions) and can be added to your booking via the "Manage your trip" online tool. SCUBA The Ledges - Certified Divers

Embrace Moorea's exquisite undersea beauty during this picturesque SCUBA adventure along the ledges of a coral reef.

Depart the marina platform aboard a Zodiac® boat for the ride to the ledges of a coral reef. Resembling fingers on a hand, these narrow points of coral were formed by thousands of years of surging water and extend from the reef for more than 200 feet. The fingers start at a depth of 30 feet and extend to 120 feet or more. The sides and top of each extension are rich in hard coral of various species. Upon arrival, your guide will outfit you with your equipment, provide you with your safety and diving instructions, then lead you into the crystal-clear waters.

Sharks, Javanese moray eels, Sea turtles and multicolored tropical fish abound inside this reef and are constantly moving about in search of food. Also, you can enjoy Hawksbill and green sea turtles resting on the coral formations. However, your dive will take place outside of the reef, where the clearest water and some of Polynesia's finest coral formations can be found. The maximum depth of your dive will not exceed 70 feet (20 meters).

Following your dive, you will be returned to the marina platform.

SCUBA Toopua - Certified Divers

Experienced divers won't want to miss this unique opportunity to explore Bora Bora's extraordinary undersea beauty during a memorable SCUBA tour.

Depart the marina platform for a boat ride to the dive site. Located inside the lagoon at the edge of a submerged crater, this site features an abundance of fish and large coral formations that form an ideal habitat for many invertebrates. Upon entering the water, you may be greeted by inquisitive butterfly fish and angelfish. This site has steep coral slopes dotted with mushroom-like coral formations, or porites, where tropical fish hide and feed. At 50 feet, you will discover a white sandy valley over which eagle rays fly. While admiring the imbedded Polynesian clams, you may even see a gigantic Javanese moray eel make an appearance. You might also see big trigger fish, clown fish, sea anemones, and octopus. Following your dive, you will be returned to the marina platform.

Beginner divers signed up on our Discover scuba diving program won't want to miss this unique opportunity to explore Bora Bora's extraordinary undersea beauty during a memorable SCUBA tour. Depart the marina platform for the boat ride to the dive site. Located at the edge of a submerged crater, this dive site features an abundance of tropical fish and large coral formations that form an ideal habitat for many invertebrates. The maximum depth for this dive is around 30 feet, an easy descent in 15 feet of water makes this a good site for beginner divers. Upon entering the water, you could be greeted by inquisitive butterflyfish and angelfish. This site has steep coral slopes dotted with mushroom-like coral formations, or porites, where tropical fish hide and feed. While admiring the imbedded Polynesian clams, you may even see a gigantic Javanese moray eel make an appearance. You might also see big triggerfish, clownfish, sea anemones, and octopus. Following your dive, you will be returned to the marina platform.This dive is also available for divers with a PADI SCUBA DIVER certification or JUNIOR OPEN WATER DIVER below the age of 12.

Shark & Ray Watching by Glass Bottom Boat

Get acquainted with sharks and rays in a unique new way during a glass-bottom boat ride in Bora Bora and a swim with stingrays.

After embarking your glass-bottom boat at the pier, you will depart for a brief cruise. Your guide will then tie the boat to a mooring in about 25 feet of water and try to attract black-tipped sharks. You will observe the dance of these ocean denizens and, if you are lucky, spot some lemon sharks known to frequent the area. Next, you will proceed to a shallower, clear lagoon for a rare opportunity to view graceful stingrays and even swim alongside them.

Following your tour, you will be transferred back to the pier.

Please note: Underwater viewing takes place through large glass windows. The roof provides protection from the sun and eliminates glare, enhancing photo and video quality. Swimming is not permitted during the first stop with sharks but is highly recommended with the stingrays. Wear your swimsuit under a cover up, and bring biodegradable sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a towel, mask, and snorkel from the ship. Although shark and stingray sightings frequently occur, they cannot be guaranteed.

Sharks and Stingrays Encounter

Explore the exquisite beauty and undersea denizens of Bora Bora’s lagoon during this stingray ballet and snorkeling safari aboard a covered snorkeling boat.

Depart the pier aboard the snorkeling boat for a cruise by the ancient crater rim of Motu Toopua, then past Motu Tapu. You will then drop anchor on a shallow sandbank to discover the elegant, yet harmless stingrays. Watch in amazement as your guide hand-feeds the stingrays as they glide effortlessly around you. If you are willing, your guide will even help you get close enough to touch them.

Next, you will continue on for a visit to a pristine coral garden. Upon arrival, you will receive your safety and diving instructions, then have an opportunity to snorkel in depths ranging from 4 to 5 feet. Along the way, admire an abundance of tropical and multi-colored fish, including parrotfish and butterflyfish. At the conclusion of your snorkeling session, you will be transferred back to the pier.

Please note: Guests should be comfortable in deep water and wearing snorkeling equipment. Although marine life sightings are frequent, they cannot be guaranteed. This tour is recommended for guests in good physical condition. Guests are encouraged to wear a swimsuit under a cover up, aqua socks or similar, and sunscreen, and bring a hat, sunglasses, and a towel from the ship. Masks, snorkels, and personal buoyancy aid (P.B.A./snorkeling vests) must be brought from the ship.

Slow Paced Belvedere and Pineapple Valley by E-Bike

Enjoy a slow paced bicycle guided tour to Belvedere and the Pineapple Valley. Your guide will commence the tour by giving you an introductory course on how to use the simple E-bike settings. Choose the setting that fit your fitness level, from no assistance to Turbo and off you go visiting the beautiful Pineapple Island. At every stop the guide will provide you with a multitude of details about the sites and their history. Visit Cooks and Opunohu bays, stop at the Marae (archaeological sites) and Belvedere Lookout point. Pedal through the pineapple plantations and stop for a jam tasting at the Agricultural High school. Your e-motor assisted mountain bike will make it really easy to complete the tour and even the less active guests will feel like Le Tour de France winner.

Snorkel & Black Pearl Farm Adventure

Explore Tahiti's most unique and sought-after treasures during this canoeing and snorkeling adventure and a visit to the Black Pearl Farm.

Depart the pier aboard a motorized outrigger canoe for the 10-minute ride to Poerani, a black pearl farm. The vanilla industry is the island's most important business, followed closely by the production of black pearls. At the black pearl farm, you will learn all about the most beautiful jewel of French Polynesia: the magnificent black pearl. This informative stop will help you understand the value of these lustrous jewels in these islands - and around the world.

Continue on to a small motu for an opportunity to snorkel in its crystal-clear water. This motu is located close to a pass where experienced snorkelers can observe the drop-off of the reef. Don your snorkeling gear and enter the water, where you will see wonderful underwater fauna and a myriad of tropical fish swimming around you.

Following your snorkeling session, you will embark the canoe for the return ride to the Motu Mahana for Paul Gauguin's Beach BBQ.

Please note: The snorkeling stop may be relocated depending on weather conditions. Some of the canoes may not be covered, and sunscreen is strongly suggested. Please wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, hat, sunglasses and bring snorkeling equipment and a towel from the ship. This tour ends at our private islet, Motu Mahana, where lunch, water activities and snorkeling is available. Guests should be comfortable wearing snorkeling equipment, and able to cope with occasional currents. Morning tour departures will conclude at the beach.

Snorkeling Rangiroa's 'Aquarium'

Rangiroa’s spectacular and diverse marine life is yours to discover during this scenic and memorable ride in the Tuamotu Islands.

Depart the pier via local boat for the ride to Motu Nui Nui, a natural, open-water aquarium renowned for its marine life. Upon arrival, you will receive your safety instructions, then enter the water to explore your surroundings. Along the way, you will observe an abundance of colorful fish and coral and marine life. Your guide will offer assistance in the water and throughout the tour. During the tour, you will also have an opportunity to hand-feed the fish.

Following your snorkeling session, you will be transferred back to the pier.

Please note: This tour is recommended for guests who are in good physical condition and used to snorkeling in deep water and strong currents. The Tuamotus are very remote islands. Although the guides used are the best available, they are not certified, and their command of English may be very poor; thus, narration will be very limited tonon-existent. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated. Please wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses, and bring a bottle of water and a towel from the ship.

Snorkeling Tour

You will board small boats each seating 10 guests and travel to Motu Maina where you can snorkel and those that wish have the option of visiting the motu. It takes approximately 15 minutes to travel each way, as the boats are very quick. This area has beautiful giant clams and is a marine reserve and is a nesting area of the red tailed tropic birds.

Please note: Wear your swimsuit under a cover up, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and bring fins, snorkels, and towels from the ship. You should also wear reef shoes for swimming. This tour involves a wet landing. There are no restroom stops on this tour.
