Please note:  PGC reserves the right to cancel excursions based on booking date should the excursion capacity be lowered by local authorities due to Covid outbreaks.

Shore Excursion Terms & Conditions

Please note that not all shore excursions are available on all sailings. Descriptions and pricing may vary.  Shore excursions will not be available for pre-booking until approximately 30 days prior to sailing (with the exception of the Romantic Escapades excursions) and can be added to your booking via the "Manage your trip" online tool. New tours, not previously listed for online sales, may be available onboard without prior notice. If you have questions please contact our Reservation Department at 1 (800) 848-6172 for assistance.

SCUBA Arutanga Passage - Certified Divers - with Outside Operator

You will meet at the ship`s marina to pick-up your fins and wetsuits before taking the tender to shore. Once there, you will suit up and gear check before boarding the local dive boat and get ready to head to the dive site that is only five minutes away from the pier. There, you will be helped with the equipment and do a back roll entry before heading down towards the canyons where you can observe huge green sea turtle resting on the bottom, occasional passage of spotted eagle rays, napoleon wrasse, and emperor angel fish. At about 90 feet a small family of resident white tips are hiding under an outcropping rock. This site only features hard corals.

Shortly after the ship's arrival, you'll be transferred to the Sonaisali Resort marina, focal point for 25 spectacular dive sites. Spectacular hard and soft corals; caves and grottos; amazingly diverse marine life that includes sharks, turtles, tuna, and fish of all hues and sizes; and internationally certified dive operators all ensure your dive experience will be a memorable one. SCUBA Fakarava Outer Reef Experienced Certified Divers

Depart the marina platform aboard a zodiac where you will receive your safety briefing during the 20-minute ride to the outside reef of the Garuae Pass of Fakarava.

Once on site, you will be helped to gear up and when the whole group is ready, you will enter the water and admire immediately the untouched beauty of the reef protected by UNESCO. You will dive along the edge of the drop off among the big schools of fish, grey reef sharks, tunas and may have the chance to spot a manta ray of a turtle feeding quietly. The maximum depth of this dive will be around 70 feet (20 meters). After the dive, you will be transferred back to the marina platform.

Please note: Guests must present a dive certification card and proof that they have dived several times within the last year. Wear a swimsuit under a cover-up, and bring a hat, sunglasses, and a towel from the ship. This tour is for guests in good physical condition and experienced divers with a minimum of 50 dives and recent diving experience. The surface condition can be rough and there is no mooring line to go down so you will need to feel confident clearing your ears. Depending on your experience, you may be asked by the dive instructors to do one dive in Bora-Bora prior to dive in Fakarava.

SCUBA Fatu Hiva - Active Advanced Certified Divers with Deep Diver Specialty

Board the dive boat at the gangway to sail in direction of the dive site located approximately 20 minutes away from the ship with a very nice scenic ride along the coast passing by the Bay of Virgins. You will receive your safety briefing on the way. Once arrived at the dive site you will be helped to gear up and you will follow the instructors signal to roll into the water. The maximum depth of this dive is around 100 feet. You may have the chance to observe scorpion fish, endemic moray eels, schools of fish, pelagic and lobsters in a small cave.

This dive is for Advanced Certified Divers with Deep Diver Specialty only due to the condition (depth, surge, current and reduced visibility). There is no reference line to descend and divers should have a minimum of 50 logged dives to sign up and recent diving experience. (The Deep Diver Specialty certification is available onboard for $99.)

SCUBA Hammerhead Sentry Point - Active Advanced Certified Divers

This dive has the unique opportunity to dive with scalloped hammerhead sharks - they usually gather around a big rock at the entrance of the bay among jack fish, tunas, manta rays and more. Therefore they are very shy and there is no guarantee to observe them and due to the richness of the water in terms of plankton the visibility is limited and sometimes reaches only 20 feet (6 meters).You will embark into the dive boat from the gangway and receive your safety briefing on the way to the dive site. The boat ride is about 10 minutes. Upon arriving on the site you will gear up and roll into the water as a group. There is no reference line to descend, and the current and the swell can be strong so this dive is offered only to very experienced divers with at least 50 dives, recent diving experience and holding the advanced diver certification.

The maximum depth of this dive will be around 100 feet. After the dive, you will be transferred back to the gangway.

Diving in the Marquesas Island is like jumping in the middle of the underwater wilderness. This dive is a unique opportunity to dive along rocky point where a massive concentration and variety of marine species gather to grab the nutrient brought along by the currents. You may have the chance to see eagle rays, manta, impressive schools of fish dancing in rhythm to avoid being caught by predators such as different kind of sharks and big jack fishes swimming like rockets. You will embark into the dive boat from the gangway and receive your safety briefing on the way to the dive site. The boat ride is about 15 minutes. Upon arriving on the site you will gear up and roll into the water as a group. There is no reference line to descend, and the current and the swell can be strong so this dive is offered only to very experienced divers with at least 50 dives and holding the Advanced Diver Certification plus Deep Diver Specialty. This specialty course is available onboard for $99.

The maximum depth of this dive will be around 100 feet. After the dive, you will be transferred back to the gangway.

The maximum depth of this dive will be 18 feet (6 meters).

Explore Rangiroa’s extraordinary fish and coral marine life during a scenic underwater journey that’s ideally-suited to beginner divers.

Meet your dive instructors at the marina platform and receive your safety briefing. You will then ride in the dive boat to an uninhabited islet, or motu, located on the lagoon side at the entrance to the famous Tiputa Pass. Upon arrival, you will be helped to gear up, then enter the water. Led by your dive master, you will observe spectacular coral formations and fish that include snappers, moray eels, lion fish, clown fish, triggerfish, butterfly fish, and angelfish. At times a shark might swim by or you may surprise a white tip reef shark resting on the bottom.
