SCUBA 1 Tank - World War II Japanese Wrecks (Advanced Divers)
Duration:
2 Hours - $135

This one-tank shore dive on a Japanese ship wreck from World War II goes to a depth between 3 and 40 meters (10 to 120 feet) and is for experienced certified divers only as the depth and average visibility can create challenging conditions. We encourage divers to bring an underwater flash light to fully enjoy wreck diving experience. After meeting the outside vendor on the pier, you will be transferred by truck or minivan to Bonegi Beach (approximately a 30 min drive). Once at the beach, you will receive a safety briefing and get fully-geared with scuba equipment. You will be entering in the water from the beach with all equipment on, and will follow the slope to slowly distinguish the wreck emerging from the depth. This wreck allows safe penetration, but divers should be used to wreck diving as buoyancy can be harder to handle for less experienced divers. The ship wreck is listing on its port side and is covered with sea fans, hard and soft coral. You will also be able to see groups of fish, nudibranch, and sea anemones with clown fish. After the dive, fresh water will be available to drink and when ready, you will be transferred back to the ship.

This dive is not recommended for guests with back problems as this is a shore dive and you will be asked to gear up on the beach and carry your tank while accessing the dive site.
