Enjoy a half-day tour which allows you to snorkel at one of the top sites while visiting Guadalcanal Island! After a short, leisurely 15-minute drive through the colorful villages on Guadalcanal Island, you'll arrive at Bonegi Beach. Upon arrival, you'll be treated to a fresh coconut drink before receiving your snorkel equipment and safety instructions. Although Bonegi Beach is known as a popular dive spot due to many military relics, sunken battleships and the more recent famous wreck of the Discoverer cruise ship which ran aground in 2001, the clear, warm waters here are home to a variety of marine life including trevally, lion fish, giant clams, hammerhead sharks, whale sharks and barracudas.
Please note: It is recommended to wear comfortable, flat-soled shoes, clothing suitable for weather conditions, a hat, sunscreen and bring bottled water. Please wear swimsuits or swimsuits underneath your clothes as there are no toilet or shower facilities on site. Please bring snorkel gear from the ship. Swimmers are encouraged to wear foot protection (reef shoes) upon entering/exiting the water. Buses used for transportation may not be air-conditioned.
